Flight Sim

Around the World with “Virtual Me”

VM01Welcome to my Flight Simulation world. I’ve been an avid flight sim user for over 20 years and have logged countless hours in a wide variety of virtual aircraft. Years ago, I adopted a philosophy of virtual flight where all of my flights are connected; a real world limit placed on my virtual self. thus the concept of “Virtual Me” was born.

Using the above Google Earth plug-in, you can track the progress of Virtual Me as he flies around the world. Users can click on route segments and other icons and get pilot reports, screen shots and videos of his adventures. This chronicle was started at the beginning of 20112Depending on how the globe responds to clutter, I may archive various maps on an annual basis since Virtual Me does a lot of flying!

If  for some reason you don’t have Google Earth, you should. Not just for this page, but for general use. It is simply a “must have” internet tool. You can get it here.

If you would like to view the .kmz file directly in the Google Earth program, click here.

If you are a flight sim geek like myself and are looking for a way to do this for you page, here a couple of great tools:
